Introduction
Agrivero is seeking a talented Working Student with expertise in 3D modeling and printing to join our innovative team. As part of this role, you’ll support the design and rapid prototyping of components for our AI-enabled green coffee grading devices. You will collaborate closely with the engineering team to create precise 3D models and bring them to life through advanced 3D printing. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in 3D modeling, design iteration, and prototyping in a dynamic agritech environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Create and refine 3D models of device components using Fusion360, ensuring accuracy and alignment with technical specifications.
- Operate and maintain 3D printers (knowledge of Prusa printers is a strong advantage) to produce high-quality prototypes and parts.
- Assist in the preparation and post-processing of printed parts, including sanding, assembly, and fit testing.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to iterate on design prototypes, incorporating feedback to enhance performance and manufacturability.
- Maintain documentation for 3D modeling files, print settings, and design adjustments to ensure reproducibility and quality.
- Support troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of 3D printers to ensure optimal printing results and minimize downtime.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in 3D modeling and printing to suggest improvements and efficiencies.
Your profile:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field with experience in 3D modeling and printing.
- Proficiency in Fusion360; experience with other CAD software is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing, ideally with Prusa printers or similar FDM systems.
- Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for quality control and the ability to troubleshoot and correct 3D printing issues.
- Good understanding of material properties and post-processing techniques.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills to share insights and recommendations.
- Passionate about rapid prototyping, innovation, and learning in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to know:
- 10-12 hours per week, flexible working hours
- You can work from an office in Berlin or remotely, however we will prefer candidates who are registered in Berlin or ready to relocate
- Start: November 2024
